An old tool from the workshop, grandma's recipe book, old school reports: just think of the stories that can be woven around such mementos. This is the starting point for the Blandford Museum Living History project; an important initiative to record the day to day history of our community.
While we continue to collect Oral Histories on all subjects, our BIG project at the moment is “COMMUNITY FORCES”. Funded by the Ministry of Defence, we are interviewing service personnel and their families about their lives in the forces. These interviews will form the basis of a new exhibition at the Blandford Museum.

We are looking for families that would like to participate in the interviews, retired military with a story to tell, Civil Service staff and anyone who would like to help us with the interview process.
The interviews are being organised by Mike Lofthouse, who can be contacted on 01258 451580 or contact Sylvia Hixson Andrews on 01258 458911 or by email email@example.com
