Dick has taught Biology for 37 years and this work and his understanding of the ecology of the area has influenced his art. He has been painting since the mid 1960's , but seriously studyng art for the last 5 years, both with Dorset artists and teachers Clare Shepherd and Heather Gibbons, as well as at West Dean College.
His work often arises from interpretation of landscape, ranging from contemporarty figurative to abstract. He paints in oils and less often in acrylics.
Luptia Aish - May
May's artist is Luptia Aish, a wonderfully colourful artist who originates from El Salvador. She studies in an art class in Blandford and is basing her exhibition on the people and places of El Salvador (exhibition title 'People and Places').

Sue Bates attended Homerton Collage, Cambridge and studied English and Drama. She began painting at the age of 45 with no formal training. She studies with local Cranborne chase artiest Clare Shepherd, with whom she still attends weekly sessions.
